Joy Pavey Still Active in Sport
Who born in Britain, Joy Pavey expressed that her goal for an upcoming Olympics in 2016. Her goal is to win her fifth Olympics for a game track match. Joy Pavey, 43 years old also became the oldest woman that won gold for 10,000 m at a European Championship in this year. It is also ten days after she won bronze for 5,000 m run at the Commonwealth Games. She never thought that she will win the matches. A mother-of-two stated that she loves to run for her fifth Olympics held at Rio, Brazil in 2016.
Before she can enter the games at Rio, she needs to qualify herself for the World Championships in BEIJING, China held in the next year. She also expressed that she desired to retire from participating any game track again in this year, but her eager in running drives here to participate in game track again. However, she is still desperately in feeling between her career and her status as a mother now. Pavey husband and trainer, Gavin said he always supports his wife for her career. Gavin and her son, Jacob also shared her success recently in the Stadium at Zurich, Switzerland.
Pavey started her career as a runner in 1997. She participated in Major British Debut World Championships 1997 in Athens. She also participated in fourth Olympic games as a runner in Sydney 2000, Athens 2004, Beijing 2008 and lastly in London 2012. She also got her major medals during her participation in Commonwealth games as well as European Championships.
