Lisa Leslie: The Loved by All Basketball Player
Lisa Deshaun Leslie was a professional basketball player from the United States. She was born in 1972. She was one of the most successful female basketball players during the peak of her career. She bagged quite a number of medals while in the course of her career, which included WNBA wins along with Olympic Medals. Her great height of six foot and five inches provided her the natural boost for her basketball-playing persona. She retired from her professional career at 2009. She had been playing in WNBA since 1997 till her retirement.
Lisa started playing basketball since her elementary school. She used to play for both boys and girls team in middle school. Initially, she had been a left-handed player. However, she trained herself to play with the right hand also thereby becoming an ambidextrous. She had been part of the Olympics Gold Winning National for four times from 1996 - 2008 consecutively. She was also part of the World Champion’s Winning Team twice in 1998 and 2002.
She was the first female ever to dunk a ball in a game of WNBA along with scoring a total of more than 6000 points in her career. Her league record consists of a total of 6263 points, 3307 rounds and 10444 PRA. She became enlisted in the 15 top basket players’ list in the WNBA history of 15 Years. She had been elected for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2015. Leslie’s career has made her a WNBA league cornerstone and pioneer of the game.
