Professional American Middle Distance Runner
Mary Cain is a professional American middle distance runner from one of the most happening places in the world, New York. She is the 2014 World junior championship in the 3000m event and is the youngest athlete ever to represent her nation at a world Championships meet after competing in 2013 world championship.
She was in 1996 to Mary E. Cain and Charles Cain and has three sisters. She grew up in Bronxville and got noticed for exceptional running ability in seventh grade. Her strength is the middle distance running and graduated from Bronxville high school in 2014. Alberto Salazar has been her coach from 2012, who has mentored other well-known athletes like Mo Farah and Galen Rupp, who won gold and silver medals in 10000m run in 2012 Summer Olympics in male category. She won numerous titles when she was still in Bronxville High school. On January 16, 2014, she set a new high. She set a new World junior Indoor record in 1000m. She runs for various events like 800m, 1500m, 3000m. in the year of 2010, she was the NYS class C Cross Country Champion, in 2011, she outdid herself and became NYS class C and NYS Federation Champion. At the 2012 United States Olympic Trials, she ran 800m and got the eighteenth position.
Mary is currently attending the honors program at the University of Portland in Portland, Oregon and also competes as a professional athlete for companies like Nike, Inc etc. she is certainly one of the most promising athletes from USA
